This one was fun, and I got a little tease – I almost attempted to rhyme there, you’ll see why. Ana sent me this one a little before she posted it and as soon as I saw it I knew the kind of short story I wanted to write for her! If you know Ana then you’ve probably heard her say “OoooH Kill em'” and thats what I went with. Go check Day 4 – The Ball and leave her some feedback and make sure to follow her all over social media for more of her adventures! (Instagram, Twitter, Facebook)
The stage was set, the pieces in play, Heads would roll by the end of the day.
The room’s walls were covered in colors, and most of the exits showered with flowers.
Tuxedos and Gowns filled up the hall, dresses and crowns, in time for the ball.
The music played and the crowd danced for hours, soon they would fall from their ivory towers.
Liars, Scoundrels and Royals covered with masks, all unaware of the dancer’s attacks.
The blades she concealed, would soon be revealed.
The target in sight, asked for a dance, “Perfect”, she thought “This is my chance”.
Oh what a thrill, the blood she would spill.
A swing, a dip, a twirl, she had carried her kill.
A slash, a stab, a cut, now the man clenched his gut.
Swift and precise with only one slice, those who bought votes, now lay with slit throats.
Her dress once blue was drenched now in red, and so was the floor now covered with dead.
She silenced the sound of the last woman screaming and when she walked out, no heart was left beating.
I don’t know why I tried the whole rhyming bit but I felt like I could step out of my comfort zone and try something new for this one. Let me know what you think in the comments below or shoot us a tweet @NerdworkTweets
