Alright, we’ve all seen Guardians by now right? If Chris Pratt hadn’t taken hold of your hearts as Andy in Parks&Rec., and didn’t manage to hook you on a feeling as Peter Quill, how about he does it as himself!
Last wednesday Pratt arranged with Children’s Miracle Network Hospital and Marvel a special screening of Guardians of The Galaxy for the kids at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. The staff alongside the patients families were able to enjoy the movie with Star-Lord himself. While the movie was playing, Pratt snuck out the room and casually walked back in in full-costume when the movie ended, taking pictures with the kids and signing autographs as well as handing out toys and goodies from the film. He spent well over 3 hours dressed as his character while spending time with the children. This is one of those things that just makes you feel fuzzy on the inside specially since Pratt had made mention of wanting to do this in a previous interview!
If you want to check out the full interview you can do so here for the rest of feels produced by Pratt. Not only did he spend time handing out toys to those attending the screening, but also visited those unable to attend the screening at the Bone Marrow Transplant Unit, the Pediatric ICU, and the Children’s Center for Cancer and Blood Diseases.
E! Online reports that Pratt not only personified Star-Lord to make the kids smile but spent some time with a Lego Movie fan who recognized the actor’s voice, the pair spent about 10 minutes or so reciting lines from the movie back and forth. Ugh– Its so dusty in here my eyes are all moist…
Children’s hospital then went on to tweet at Pratt thanking him for his visit.
