I’ll be honest with you. The last game I played in the series was Assassin’s Creed 2, & when Ubisoft essentially annualized the series I felt like I fell behind and lost interest. I have Assassin’s Creed 4:Black Flag on my “to play soon” catalog since I heard (or misheard? Can anyone clarify?) you can play that one as a newcomer to the series and not feel out of the loop.
Now with this new trailer for Assassin’s Creed Unity that just released, I’m seriously pumped (srsly) for this new entry. In the trailer you’ll see new moves, new animations, assassinations, and more.
Ubisoft had come under fire recently for the omission of female assassins when they premiered the gameplay trailer at E3 back in June, & even went as far to say that females were more difficult to implement and provide assets for in the game and that would result in a loss of quality. But a new trailer introduces Elise, a young templar woman who will be Arno’s (the main protagonist) love interest. and her goal is to establish herself within the templars amidst the french revolution. Her character seems to have been planned in advance as she’s getting her own book by regular Assassin’s Creed novelist Oliver Bowden. Check out the new trailer introducing Elise! :
Soon after the Revolution, Paris lives its darkest hours: The Terror. During that anarchic and violent era, thousands of head have rolled. Nobles, priest, peasants; men or women: no one is immune to the Guillotine.
Watch Arno in this new cinematic trailer, while he is in race against the clock to save a Templar! Who is she? How would our new Master Assassin manage his cornelian dilemma?
What do you think about the new setting? Where/when would you wanna see the next Assassin’s Creed take place? Tell us in the comments! Or tweet us at @nerdworktweets
