Lets shift focus away from Marvel for a second as Warner Bros. has just announced their lineup from here on to 2020. CEO Kevin Tuijihara announced the studio’s plans for their DC Entertainment properties this morning. Back in August we caught wind of some untitled projects around the time Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice rescheduled its release date to avoid conflict with Captain America 3 opening. BvS:DOJ kicks off their lineup followed by a Suicide Squad movie directed by David Ayer (Training Day, End of Watch) set to be released August 5, 2016. Wonder Woman played by Gal Gadot gets her movie on June 23, 2017 followed by the release of Zack Snyder’s Justice League pt 1, in November of the same year, Ezra Miller was confirmed this morning as the movie version of The Flash (sorry Grant Gustin, nothing personal) who gets his own movie on March 23, 2018, and then Aquaman played by Jason Momoa on July 27. The Rock will step in the role of Black Adam for the Shazam! movie on April 15, 2019 and then the second installment of Justice League on June of the same year. We will see Cyborg get his own movie in 2020 as well as a reboot for Green Lantern. Busy lineup for DC entertainment properties set in place to give the Marvel Cinematic Universe a run for its money.
The Studio announced its plans to further explore the world of Wizarding of JK Rowling’s Harry Potter with THREE new movies slated to be released in 2016, 2018, and 2020 based on Newt Scamander’s Travels in Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.
